WHO WE ARE
We wouldn’t trust our children’s health to just anyone, and we don’t expect you to either. Family Dental Care of Bellevue is led by Dr. Galloway. For young children we created the “Happy Visit” concept to introduce young children to dental care in a fun, non-threatening environment.
Dr. Galloway brought in Dr. Wilson in 2016. Both doctors, along with the entire Family Dental Care of Bellevue staff, love treating children and are committed to providing quality family dental care.
COMPLETE DENTAL CARE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
Family dentistry is much more than just treating kids, however. Family Dental Care of Bellevue treats patients of all ages. The doctors’ training and skills include such routine dental care as exams, cleanings, and simple restorations, as well as smile design makeovers, Invisalign orthodontics, and even full mouth reconstruction.
At most dental offices, a broken tooth would require messy impressions, a temporary crown, and two office visits. Family Dental Care of Bellevue is one of the few offices in the region to provide the innovative and time saving CAD/CAM computer technology known as CEREC. This allows us to repair a broken tooth with a beautiful porcelain restoration in just one short appointment. Using CEREC, we take three-dimensional photographs, recreate the missing portion of your tooth–no matter how large or small–and bond it into place at the same appointment.
For many years, Family Dental Care of Bellevue has been known for our state of the art dental care. Digital x-rays and photography, computerized charts, intraoral cameras and internet submission for insurance claims are just a few of the modern offerings that will streamline your dental visits with us. It goes without saying that Dr. Galloway and Dr. Wilson, along with the entire staff, are committed to ongoing continuing education to stay current with the latest dental innovations.
If you want to know more about a dental procedure that you have read about or seen online, please don’t hesitate to ask. Depending on your individual situation, we will work with you to create a customized treatment plan that blends specific technologies in the way that is best for you.
What is a “Happy Visit”?
At Family Dental Care of Bellevue, we believe that a positive early introduction to dentistry can set the stage for a lifetime of good oral health practices. Around your child’s third birthday, we invite you to bring him or her to the office for a child-centered introduction with lots of positive reinforcement.
What should I expect at my first visit?
We treat each patient as an individual, and believe strongly in the power of patient education. Plan to spend approximately one hour and a 1/2 at your first appointment. When you arrive, our staff will gather a great deal of information from you regarding your medical and dental history, including a list of the medications you are currently taking and any conditions you have that might affect dental procedures.
Next, your hygienist and dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth and mouth, including a digital x-rays, TMJ analysis and a early cancer detection procedure. At each point, we will discuss our findings with you. We will also perform a dental cleaning.
At the conclusion of this process, your dentist will meet with you to review our findings and learn any specific concerns you have. You will then work together to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that prioritizes your dental issues, fits into your budget, and obtains your desired results. Please note that a parent or guardian must accompany a minor under the age of 18 during the first appointment.
Why is regular dental care important?
Regular dental care can help prevent or treat diseases not only in your mouth, but in other areas of your body. Untreated dental problems can spread throughout the system, increasing your chances for heart disease, stroke, and other serious illnesses, while the routine mouth, head, and neck exam performed at each visit can catch early warning signs of other diseases.
Twice a year visits can also catch dental problems soon after they start. It is generally more expensive and more painful to treat advanced gum disease and badly decayed teeth than to treat those issues early on. Routine preventive care can avoid many dental issues and ensure that those that develop are treated as simply and easily as possible.
Do you perform cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry is the field of dental procedures involved in improving the appearance of your smile. Family Dental Care of Bellevue provides a full range of cosmetic dentistry procedures, from porcelain veneers to dental implants. Some processes focus solely on appearance, while others also improve the functionality of your teeth, but in all cases, we are committed to making your teeth as strong and healthy as they can be.
