Invisalign in Bellevue

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners custom made from a digital scan of your mouth. No brackets, no wires, no food restrictions, and most people will never notice you are wearing them. At Family Dental Care of Bellevue, Dr. Victor Bauer treats adults and teens with Invisalign, and it is one of the treatments we recommend most confidently, because straight teeth are not just cosmetic. They are one of the most conservative, longest-lasting investments you can make in your oral health.

More Than a Straight Smile

Crowded and misaligned teeth are harder to clean, and the places floss cannot reach are where gum disease starts. Aligning your teeth improves periodontal health by making every surface accessible to your brush and floss, distributes biting forces evenly so teeth wear the way they should, and reduces the chipping and gum recession that crowded bites cause over time. The esthetics come along for free. Unlike a veneer or a crown, Invisalign changes nothing about your natural tooth structure. No drilling, nothing removed, which is what makes it one of the most conservative treatments in all of dentistry. Done once and maintained with a retainer, the results last a lifetime.

90+ Hours of Invisalign Training

Aligners do not move teeth; treatment planning moves teeth. Dr. Bauer has completed more than 90 hours of continuing education in Invisalign, and that planning experience determines everything: which teeth move first, where attachments go, and whether your case will actually finish the way the software animation promises. It is also how we know when Invisalign is the right tool and when a case genuinely needs a different approach. You will get an honest answer at the consultation either way.

Not Every Case Is an Aligner Case

Clear aligner therapy is a powerful tool, but it is not the right tool for everything. Severe crowding, large bite discrepancies, teeth that need significant vertical movement, or jaws that are still growing can call for traditional braces, a combined approach, or an outside referral to an orthodontist or other specialist. We will determine what is best for you at the consultation, looking at your scan and your bite together and explaining the reasoning plainly. If Invisalign is the right fit, we will say so. If a different path will get you a better result, we will tell you that too and help you get there.

What Treatment Looks Like

1. Digital scan and preview. A quick, impression-free scan of your teeth. You will see a projected outcome and timeline before committing to anything.

2. Custom aligners. Your series of aligners arrives, each worn about two weeks, moving teeth a fraction of a millimeter at a time.

3. Short checkups. Quick visits every 8 to 10 weeks to confirm tracking, timed to fit your schedule.

4. Retainer. When treatment finishes, a retainer protects the result. Wear it as directed and the investment holds for life.

FAQ

How long does Invisalign take?

Most cases finish in 6 to 18 months. The biggest factor is wear time: aligners work best when worn 20 to 22 hours a day and removed only for eating, drinking anything besides water, and brushing.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Most cases fall between $2,500 and $7,000 depending on complexity. We are in network with most major insurance plans, which can bring the cost down substantially when orthodontic benefits are included, and we offer monthly payment options. You will get an exact figure at your consultation before committing to anything.

Does Invisalign hurt?

You will feel some pressure for a day or two each time you switch to a new aligner. That is the sign teeth are moving. Most patients describe it as mild tightness rather than pain, and it fades quickly.

How often do I need to come in?

Every 8 to 10 weeks for a short checkup to confirm your teeth are tracking with the plan. These are quick visits and we schedule them around your day.

Will I need a retainer afterward?

Yes. Teeth drift without one, and a retainer is what protects the result for life. We will walk you through exactly how and when to wear it.

Am I a candidate?

The only way to know is a consultation. We will scan your teeth, look at your bite, and tell you plainly whether Invisalign is the right tool or whether braces or a specialist referral would serve you better.
