Hi, I'm Dr. Victor Bauer. I'm a general and cosmetic dentist here in Bellevue, and I've called Washington home my entire life. Funny enough, I've also been working in dental offices since high school — so this career isn't something I stumbled into. It's pretty much all I've ever done.

My first job in the field was as a sterile tech back in high school. I spent my afternoons in the back room cleaning instruments, getting trays ready, and basically being a fly on the wall while the doctors and hygienists did their thing. It wasn't glamorous, but I loved it. I got to see firsthand how a good dental team can take someone who's nervous walking in and have them laughing by the time they leave. That stuck with me.

Growing Up Around Here

I grew up just south of Factoria, in Renton, and went to Kennedy High School, where I met my wife Natalie. Washington has always been home for both of us, and we can't picture living anywhere else.

After high school, I headed to Gonzaga University (Go Zags!) where I studied finance and biology. To this day, I still love watching Gonzaga basketball whenever I get the chance. From there, I came back home and attended the University of Washington for dental school — one of the best dental programs in the country, and I feel lucky to have trained so close to where I grew up. I'm also a lifelong Husky football fan and enjoy cheering on the Seahawks and Husky football right alongside my family.

Life Outside the Office

Natalie and I have two daughters. Riley is six and asks the kind of "why" questions that sound easy until you try to answer them. Lucy is four and somehow has twice the energy of her sister. We also have a 10-year-old dachshund named Nora who's pretty sure she runs the house, and honestly, she's not wrong.

Most evenings and weekends revolve around time with family and friends. Usually that means whatever the girls have going on — soccer, birthday parties, school stuff. We love traveling as a family, and my favorite moments are the ones spent with just the four of us.

Honestly, spending time outside or near the water is the best — that's what makes Washington so special to me. Whether it's a quick walk by Lake Wilderness or a longer trip to the coast, getting out on or around the water is where I recharge.

My core belief is simple: the patient is the most important part of dental care. Getting to care for people every day is a privilege, and I never want to lose sight of that. I try to treat every appointment like a conversation, not a transaction.
